Do Kyung-soo (도경수) (born January 12, 1993), better known by his stage name D.O., is a South Korean singer and actor. He is a member of the South Korean-Chinese boy group EXO as one of the main vocalists.

Early life

Do Kyungsoo was born in GoyangGyeonggi ProvinceSouth Korea on January 12, 1993. He went to Goyang Poongsan Elementary School, Baekshin Middle School, and Baekseok High School. He has an older brother, Do Seungsoo who is 3 years older than him. Do Kyungsoo has been singing since primary school and was an avid participant in local singing competitions throughout his high school career.[citation needed]
In 2010, he was recommended to audition for S.M. Entertainment after winning at a local singing festival.[2] He subsequently became an S.M. Entertainment trainee during his last two years of high school. He performed Na Yoon-kwon's "Anticipation" and Brown Eyed Soul's "My Story" at his S.M. audition.[2]

In July 2013, Do Kyungsoo was featured in f(x)'s new album "Pink Tape" in the song "Goodbye Summer".
In 2014, he sang his own song "Tell Me What Is Love" at EXO's first concert tour "EXOPLANET: THE LOST PLANET."
Do Kyungsoo made his acting debut in the movie Cart, playing a high school student, Choi Tae-young, whose mother (played byYum Jung-ah ) works at a large grocery store, and after being wrongfully dismissed from her job, she decides to fight for her rights and take a stand against the oppressive management. The movie premiered at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival in September. He also sang the OST "Crying Out" (외침) for the movie.
Later on during the year, he then appeared in the SBS's drama It's Okay, That's Love, which starred Gong Hyo-jin and Jo In-sung in the lead roles. [3] He played the role of Han Kang-woo.
Do Kyungsoo was ranked number one by critics among 40 idol-actors who participated in dramas in 2014.
